Dr Luke Ardolino

Dr Luke Ardolino is an Australian-trained Medical Oncologist dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate, and personalised care to patients navigating a cancer diagnosis. He specialises in the treatment of colorectal, upper-gastrointestinal and breast malignancies, with particular interest in the utilisation of neoadjuvant treatment approaches, immunotherapy and genomic profiling of tumours to guide precision therapies.

Dr Ardolino earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) in 2010, following which he completed specialist training in medical oncology at Royal North Shore and St. Vincent’s hospitals, achieving Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2020.

Pursuing his passion for clinical research and innovation, Dr Ardolino undertook Fellowship years focusing on Breast cancer and Phase 1 oncology trials at The Kinghorn Cancer Centre. During this time, he also completed a Masters of Medicine (Research) at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research. His work included investigating the tumour microenvironment, identifying prognostic biomarkers, and designing clinical trials to assess whether these biomarkers could be therapeutically modified.

Dr Ardolino also actively contributes to training the next generation of doctors. He serves as a clinical examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and has held leadership roles, including Network Director of Physician Education and Training at St. Vincent’s Hospital. His dedication to research is also reflected in his multiple peer-reviewed publications in journals including Annals of Oncology, Journal of Clinical Oncology and European Journal of Cancer.

Dr Ardolino ensures his patients benefit from the most recent advances in cancer treatment through regular attendance at national and international. He is also actively involved in the multidisciplinary care of his patients and regularly attends specialist multidisciplinary team meetings at the Prince of Wales and Royal North Shore Hospitals.
