Transport
There is on-site parking. If you park on B4 you may take the lift directly to Level 7.
There are government buses that run regularly and stop at the High Street entrance to the hospital. Walk through the Sydney Children’s Hospital and take the private hospital lifts to Level 7.
There is a taxi rank at the front of the Barker Street entrance of the hospital.
Referrals
Patients need to bring a referral from their general practitioner, family physician, surgeon or other doctor. This is a HEALTH INSURANCE COMMISSION requirement which will allow you to claim a MEDICARE rebate for your consultation.
Specialist referrals are valid for 3 months and general practitoner referrals are valid for 12 months. For long term patients, an “indefinite” referral may be obtained.
It is the patient’s responsibility to ensure that they have an up-to-date referral prior to any consultation.
Privacy Policy
In accordance with government regulations, we are obligated to inform you that a confidential file will be kept in Suite 20 containing results of your tests and other relevant information. Routinely, information regarding the outcome of your medical consultation will be fowarded to your referring doctor and may be sent to other health professionals involved in your care. As always all information we have will remain confidential.
